Suryia the orangutan has spent much of his life at the T.I.G.E.R.S. Preserve in and around the water. From the time he was very young, Suryia got a daily bath. During the summer months he wore a life jacket and played in the pool. Recently Suryia’s aquatic abilities have taken a great leap forward as he has discovered a whole new world “underneath” the surface of the water. Suryia is the ONLY known orangutan to exhibit such behavior.
