I like using them on my peanut butter sandwiches, but they have minimal nutritional value due to the way they are prepared. Are there any healthy alternatives? I am considering using mashed banana as a spread; does anyone have any other suggestions?
You could always make your own healthy sugar free jam by purchasing dried apricots (sulfite free) and just cook them up with some water until you get a stiff paste. We thin it down for pancakes or use it as a delicious spread.
