    Im sorry but I forgot. My caner is at my mothers apartment. It should say in your instructional booklet.

    You can’t reuse …
    You can’t reuse lids because the seals on them only work once. NO If you tighten the lids in a pressure cooker they could explode in the caner.

    Yes i understand theres different ways to process things but with tomatoes folks typically use the water bath method, Im new to the pressure cooker myself because I already can tomatoes using the water bath method, but since Im learning how to use the pressure cooker the only thing Im confused on is how much water to add to it because some folks stack their jars with a separater when they have a ton of jars and I wasnt sure of the water level

    Why can’t you reuse the lids for the next time? Also, did you tighten the lids or leave a little loose before putting in the pressurizer?

    There are 2 types …
    There are 2 types of foods for canning. There are high acid foods (fruits) and low acid foods (vegetables). You can use the water bath method on high acid food like tomato’s, but you cant use water bath on things like vegetables and meats. I think it only like 1 1/2 cups of water.

    I didnt know you could pressure can without needing the water to reach above the tops of the jars, how much water do you add to the pressure canner can I ask?

    Also did you add lemon juice to the tomatos at all?

    I actually thought you could use the water bath method for canning tomatos..no?

    Once the jars are sealed, they will last for a very very long time. Not sure how long, perhaps 5 years.

    No once the jars are sealed then they don’t need to be refrigerated.
