the point is that as much as you would argue homm4 is an RPG strategy while 3 is a strategy with so few elements of rpg that it does not matter

cuz my first experience with HoMM-series, barring a computer screen in a store, was the third game; Rampart was simply gorgeous. The fourth iteration felt sloppy and rushed and graphics felt plastic compared to its predecessor and some features felt like the devs had played Age of Wonders with a notepad and noted down the things they liked and didn’t like.
