there is a much better/faster way to get the seeds out without doing it under water. this might be the cleanest, but you still have to pick all the seeds out.
what you do is cut the fruit in half, then break it into quarters so the pieces are more manageable, then with the seeds facing your palm hit the outside with the blunt edge of a knife blade until all the seeds fall out. rotate the fruit as needed. way quicker. then you can put the seeds in a bowl of water to get the membranes off.

Haha, this is the same method I use! And here I thought I invented it… (I first tried it like 8 years ago). Oh well, I guess it’s such a simple solution that others were bound to think of it. The only thing I haven’t overcome (and was hoping you had a solution to) was how to seed the pomegranate faster. One has to sort of massage the seeds out to prevent a ton of them from exploding, and that can take a long time.

I do a nice pomegrante infused vodka. The seeds will leach into the vodka, and become clear. When this happens, filter it with a coffee filter. Wring it out, and you’d get most of the vodka out of the seeds too!
