Shows WESTON’s 2009 Make A Difference Day at Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve. Around 200 WESTON volunteers worked the afternoon making significant improvements to The Preserve, including restoring picnic tables and benches, painting the cemetery’s historic white picket fence, documenting the gravestones, making rubbings of the gravestones, installing informational guide posts and safety fences, painting welcome hut, mulching trails and roses, etc. Weston volunteers sure made a difference to visitors’ future enjoyment of The Preserve.
