Yes, if it was only for people to shoot. It’d be cool to see if it’s possible, and to see if any research could be done.

No, I don’t think it would be in the least unethical.
What is unethical and amoral is the wanton destruction of animal species; not the (re)creation of it.

Just think how many people the meat from one of those bests could feed! I know buffalo tastes pretty damn good. I do wonder how Mammoth would taste.

It depends- I don’t think it would be ethical to clone your mom unless of course she gave us permission.

No, I’d be open to making woolly mammoths from scratch.

Nah. And I say we should clone dinosaurs too. I wonder how that would turn out…

if you make a bunch of them and kind of repopulate them, it could have some bad repercussions… we don’t have the land to accommodate such large animals. it would be really interesting, though

Cloning a prehistoric animal, to me, is not unethical. What might be considered unethical, is what else or who else would be cloned.

Would it be unethical? I don’t think so. Would it be possible? Again, I don’t think so.

No way, it would be wicked cool; how ever they do theorize that humans brought a virus to the Mammoth and that was it’s ultimate demised; I would suggest we find out what killed them off before trying to resurrect this species

No. I think it would benefit science to try. Just think of what we could learn from a living example! Besides, wouldn’t the baby be oh so cute!

To be against cloning mammoths? Why, that would be anti-animal, anti-life, and pro-extinction. Boo!
I would love a miniature pet hadrosaur. I should freeze myself until they have that technology.

Hey, would it be unethical to clone tribes that were eradicated by religious crusades?

No, not particularly. The fact that they have living relative – elephants – should make the cloning process a little easier.

And there are terrific commercial opportunities in flogging them to Star Wars fans who want their own Bantha.
