Daemon is geared more toward game backups.. Both progs. will let you create "virtual Cd's", which you can load with a CD image. If you use a NoCD patch/crack then you have to store a copy of the original .exe file otherwise you have to reinstall the game if you want to install a patch. The method I use for at LANs so I dont have to cart all my CDs along is I use a mini ISO which I load into a virtual drive. This means that I dont have to mess with the game files and can install patches if one comes out. A mini ISO is a modified ISO (disk image) that contains only the data that the game requires to run from the CD. These are usualy hard to find and I dont know how to make them myself. So, with that in mind, what you can do is use a no-CD program if you want to prevent your CD from getting scratches.
